Everything that I retrieve comes from my past. I can see the shadows
waving around me like a wind blown summer. As I stop and think about it,
if it happened a minute ago, it's in the past. I have what we all have;
a cluttered memory box that's opened on all sides; to me of course.
Somewhere in the shadows will lie tomorrow's past. Do I wish to see
what that section looks like? No... Am I afraid of what the future holds? Maybe..
Aren't you? I would like to trail my fingers thru portions of the shadows and erase things. All of us are human beings. We all have shadows that swirl around
in the dark expanse of our memory box...Don't we?
Sometimes the shadows behind us are frightening , may be unnerving, disturbing, the same applies to the ones in front as well.

Brooding, beautiful... sometimes I wonder if there is any way to get out of ourselves, out of this engrossing affair with oneself and one's life...
ReplyDeleteanilkurup, it's funny that you should mention the shadows that are quite long..maybe that would be classified as memory paths...Yes, they mean a lot..some are not so pleasant...but they leave scars that can not be healed...That's just how life it...

I think not, but then that's my own philosophical system of how one escapes. The mind is a magnificent thing and it can take us in all directions. However, I think we must learn to dominate it, when necessary, lest it dominate us....
